What
Beam is a cool mobile app we developed here in Paris. It's all about helping folks find, save, and curate lists of cultural goodies - currently movies, books and TV shows with plans to expand to music, museum expos, concerts and more. Think of it as your pocket-sized culture vulture.
My Role
I'm the co-founder and CTO of this startup. In practice, that means I'm the primary tech person, handling everything from cloud architecture to backend and mobile development.

Designed and implemented the entire cloud architecture on AWS, including an API, Postgres database, and DynamoDB for fast-changing information.
Initially hired and managed a remote mobile developer, then took over the React Native development myself alongside my co-founder.
Architected the system with scalability and efficiency in mind, preparing us for future growth.
Balanced high-level tech decision-making with hands-on development work.
